Rotoprint was established in March 2002. We opened our doors in East London, born from strong ties to the local cigarette industry; Rotoprint was thrown into the midst of high graphic printing on solid carton board and label paper.
The company’s first acquisition was a Nil Peter machine from Denmark. This machine has the capability of doing a combination of gravure, flexographic and lithographic printing. The machine is also capable of rotary die cutting in-line with the printing for carton board and labels.
In early 2004, Rotoprint made the decision to move its operation to state of the art customer built manufacturing facilities in Durban and at the same time decided to further its investments in World Class machinery and purchased a 7 colour Lemanic Gravure Press from Bobst, Switzerland. With this investment, Rotoprint moved to become a substantial supplier of high quality folding cartons and labels in the packaging industry.
Subsequent to the installation and successful running of the Bobst Lemanic in February 2005, Rotoprint has made several other strategic converting machine acquisitions, to enhance the Company’s ability to offer its customers a full range of products and capabilities.
Our well established research and development facilities ensure that customers receive innovative ideas for packaging and marketing their products. |
